Creamline adds to arsenal, signs Pons

After spending the past four scorching years on the sun-drenched sands, Bernadeth Pons, the formidable beach volleyball star, is finally trading her flip-flops for sneakers as she embarks on an exciting new chapter with the Creamline Cool Smashers in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).

The reigning Invitational Conference champions have added the 26-year-old dynamo to their roster as they gear up to defend their title in the highly anticipated 2023 PVL Invitationals, set to kick off this June.

Pons, known for her remarkable performances alongside partner Sisi Rondina in the beach volleyball circuit, last graced the indoor volleyball scene back in 2019.

Having previously showcased her exceptional skills with the Rebisco-backed squad's beach volleyball team, Pons now finds herself in the company of volleyball luminaries as she joins the star-studded Creamline squad.

The Cool Smashers, fresh off a triumphant championship run in the All-Filipino Conference earlier this year, have significantly bolstered their ranks with Pons' arrival.

Under the guidance of head coach Sherwin Meneses, the Cool Smashers now boast a wealth of talent, providing Meneses with a plethora of options to choose from in the rotation.

Alongside Pons, the Creamline lineup includes renowned players such as Tots Carlos, Jema Galanza, Michele Gumabao, and Alyssa Valdez. With such an exceptional assemblage of talent, expectations are soaring as fans eagerly anticipate the team's performance in the upcoming PVL Invitationals.
