Strong Group Athletics has taken a major step toward elevating Farm Fresh’s status in the Premier Volleyball League, naming veteran international coach Alessandro Lodi as the new head coach of the Foxies ahead of the upcoming season.
Lodi, a seasoned tactician with a coaching résumé that spans multiple continents, replaces Benson Bocboc, who served as the team’s interim head coach during the 2024 All-Filipino Conference.
Under Bocboc’s guidance, the young Farm Fresh squad finished in 10th place.
Joining Lodi on Farm Fresh’s revamped staff is renowned Italian strength and conditioning coach Carlo Buzzichelli, who will oversee the physical training programs not only for the Foxies but also for all volleyball teams under Strong Group Athletics — including ZUS Coffee.
“The arrival of Coach Alessandro Lodi as Farm Fresh’s new head coach and Coach Carlo Buzzichelli as Strong Group’s new strength and conditioning head marks a new chapter for our teams,” said Farm Fresh team manager Kiara Cruz.
“With Coach Fabio Menta already on board as our volleyball consultant, we've seen improvements across all SGA teams—from the pros to the collegiate level,” Cruz added.
“Now, with the additions of Coach Alessandro and Coach Carlo, we’re not just maintaining momentum—we’re becoming stronger.”
