LOCOS NORTE -- Tots Carlos provided the crucial hits in Creamline's 24-26, 28-26, 25-22, 25-20 win over Petro Gazz in the Premier Volleyball League Open Conference here at the PCV Socio-Civic and Cultural Center in Bacarra on Tuesday.
The motivation? Her upcoming graduation at University of the Philippines.
"Lumabas na yung list and I'm graduating but wala pang date yung graduation," confirmed Carlos after the win against Petro Gazz.
And that alone is enough motivation for the 23-year-old to bring out her best game in a Creamline jersey.
The 2019 PVL Open Conference Best Opposite Spiker delivered the differential hits in a tight fourth set affair against the Angels.
She ended up with seven markers as the Cool Smashers gained a share of the top spot with Chery Tiggo -- both of which have 2-0 standings.
"We expected a really high level of play so I'm sure naman kami nag-prepare naman talaga kami. And, yun nga, if may mga lapses kami, we really have to fill in and ako naman lagi naman akong ready like what the coaches and my teammates remind me. Ready ako pa lagi," said the UP product.
"I'm just really grateful for this team kasi especially lalo na 'pag pasok ko dito sobrang daming blessings, sobrang dami kong natututunan especially from the coaches sila Coach Tai (Bundit), Ate Ly (Valdez), my teammates, sobrang ganda ng environment ko and I'm really grateful na part ako ng team na 'to," she expressed.
Creamline hopes to make it three-straight wins against Black Mamba-Army on Thursday at 3:00. (DJ)
