Savannah Davison, the driving force behind PLDT's aspirations, remains undeterred despite their recent setback. As the High Speed Hitters narrowly missed out on the semifinals for the second consecutive time, Davison sees it as a stepping stone to a greater comeback.
"After our recent setback, I truly believe our comeback will be even bigger," Davison confidently asserts. "We needed this experience to understand the importance of every moment. It's a lesson in determination and motivation."
Indeed, PLDT's journey was fraught with challenges. Despite a promising start that saw them poised for a semifinal berth, crucial losses in the final stretch dashed their hopes. Yet, amidst the disappointment, Davison finds solace in the resilience of her team.
Reflecting on their journey, Davison expresses pride in their collective efforts. "No matter the ups and downs, we always showed up better the next day," she remarks.
Their conference-opening campaign was punctuated by notable victories, including triumphs over Choco Mucho and the reigning champions, Creamline.
The highlight of their conference came in a historic win over Creamline, ending an eight-game losing streak and showcasing PLDT's potential. Davison's stellar performance, highlighted by a game-high 27 points, exemplified the team's determination to leave it all on the court.
As they bid farewell to the All-Filipino Conference, Davison and her teammates are already looking ahead to the future.
"We beat the top two teams in the conference," Davison reflects. "It shows that when we put our best out there, sky's the limit."
With their sights set on redemption, PLDT approaches the next conference with renewed vigor.
Davison believes that their experiences, both triumphs, and setbacks, will fuel their motivation and determination to achieve greatness.
