This pivotal win not only added another feather to Choco Mucho's cap but also elevated their standings to an impressive 8-1 record, bringing them within touching distance of a semifinal berth.
Reflecting on her standout performance, Tubino humbly credited her mindset and the trust of her teammates and coaches. With team captain Kat Tolentino absent from the lineup due to an auditory condition, Tubino felt the responsibility to step up and fill the void.
"Perhaps, I had the mindset that my teammates and coaches needed me to step up in Kat's absence. I needed to step up for them and for Choco Mucho," expressed the former V-League champion.
Grateful for the trust bestowed upon her, Tubino emphasized her commitment to giving her best effort whenever called upon. Under the guidance of Coach Dante Alinsunurin, Tubino felt liberated from pressure, allowing her to focus solely on her game and execute the team's strategies with precision.
"Coach Dante never puts pressure on me. As long as I give my best and play my game, everything falls into place. Whatever we've practiced shows up in the game," added the 31-year-old product of Perpetual Help.
With Tolentino's absence providing an opportunity for Tubino to shine, she embraced the challenge with confidence, fueled by the unwavering support of her teammates and coaches.
"I needed confidence in our games. The trust of my teammates and coaches gives me a morale boost," Tubino expressed.
"As my confidence grows, I'm able to execute my attacks, blocks, and defensive plays with precision."
