Louie Romero signs with Farm Fresh

Louie Romero is poised to take the next step in her promising journey.

On Monday evening, the Foxies revealed an exciting news: Louie Romero had signed with Farm Fresh.

Romero's signing with Farm Fresh is more than just a transfer; it marks the beginning of a new chapter in her already impressive young career. The former Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Collegiate Conference Finals MVP is set to make her debut for the team in the upcoming third conference of the PVL, scheduled to kick off later this month.

The anticipation surrounding Romero's arrival is palpable. Farm Fresh believes that her addition to the roster will significantly bolster the team's development, especially on the offensive front.

The team's official announcement on X stated, "Rome wasn't built overnight, but with the addition of a setter like Louie Romero on our side of the court, we can look forward to fast-tracking the team's development, especially on offense."

Romero's last competitive appearance was in May, when she led Adamson University to a bronze finish in UAAP Season 85—a significant achievement for the school, marking their first women's volleyball medal since 2014. Despite her successful collegiate career, Romero made the bold decision to forgo the remainder of her collegiate eligibility after that season.

"Nabakante lang po ako after UAAP, pero tuloy-tuloy naman ang pagpapalakas at pag-iingat sa katawan ko, kaya I can say na ready naman po ako," shared Romero, displaying her unwavering commitment to her sport.

Returning to the volleyball court means reuniting with familiar faces for Romero. She'll be playing alongside former Lady Falcons Trisha Tubu, Kate Santiago, and Cae Lazo, all of whom made their PVL debut in this year's Invitational Conference. This reunion adds an extra layer of excitement to her journey with Farm Fresh.

"Na-miss ko po maglaro, and now na eto na, lalo akong excited. Napanood ko ang bawat laro ng Farm Fresh last conference, at para sa akin, sa paraang 'yun, alam ko kung ano ang kailangan ng team at alam ko kung paano ako makakatulong," she said, exuding enthusiasm for her new venture.

Farm Fresh, a team that concluded its PVL debut at the bottom of the rankings, is now rejuvenated and ready to face the challenges of the new conference head-on. With more experience, enhanced confidence, and an unyielding determination to secure their elusive first win, the young Foxies are poised for a remarkable transformation.

"Gusto ko lang po makatulong sa team. Gusto ko maibalik sa Farm Fresh at kay Tito Frank (Lao) 'yung kabaitan at generosity ng kanilang pamilya. Excited po ako para sa aming unang panalo at iba pa," Romero concluded, leaving no doubt about her commitment to her new team's quest for success.

As Louie Romero takes her first steps with Farm Fresh, the volleyball world eagerly awaits the impact of this young star on the court.
