F2 Logistics explains decision to not participate in Invitationals

F2 Logistics explained on its social media platforms why they are not participating in the 2022 Premier Volleyball League Invitational Conference -- the league's second conference which begins on July 9.

In a statement titled 'Stepback for a Comeback', the Cargo Movers dispelled the rumors that the team had already disbanded.

The team explained that the reason they are taking a leave is due to the team having the same coaching staff as De La Salle University, led by head coach Ramil de Jesus.

With the Lady Spikers in a bubble, F2 Logistics said that they were not able to have a full camp with their coaches.

"We are still a team!

"As the next Premier Volleyball League is set to commence this July 2022, we have decided not to participate in this said Invitational Conference due to tight schedules from our end," the statement opened.

"As you are aware, all of our coaches were also part of the recently concluded UAAP league and we respect their commitment to that. This makes it a little difficult for us, as our coaches need more time to immerse themselves with the team again. Because of strict bubble protocols which are all necessary, merging players and coaches were more than challenging for us," it continued.

F2 Logistics made its debut in the country's first-ever professional volleyball league during this year's Open Conference. The Cargo Movers finished the tournament in sixth place.

That is why in the coming months, F2 Logistics looks to regroup, looking to bounce back come the season-ending Reinforced Conference.

"We wish to be a better and stronger team compared to the last time we played in PVL. More than just participating, we play to achieve excellence. For now, we are not ready yet and everyone who supports us, deserves more from us," it read.

"We will take this time to continuously prepare and simultaneously recover from resurfaced and new injuries. We will come back, stronger.

"With this, we hope for the success of this conference and the safety of all teams participating," the statement closed.
