Molina grateful to Cignal for staying patient in her recovery

Ces Molina expressed her utmost gratitude to the Cignal management for taking great care of her and the rest of the HD Spikers.

Molina suffered a right ankle sprain during the team's elimination round match against Petro Gazz and missed their final assignment against PLDT.

Meanwhile, Rose Doria, Jerrili Malabanan, Ayel Estranero, and Chai Troncoso missed both the Petro Gazz and PLDT matches while Rachel Daquis only skipped the latter after all five of them were placed under the league's health and safety protocols.

All six of them made their way back into the team's opening game in the semifinals against PLDT but lost in four sets.

"Syempre thankful talaga sa management kasi yung mga injuries na ganito hindi kami pinapabayaan ng management namin," said Molina after the HD Spikers chalked their first win in the semis against Army-Black Mamba.

"Talagang since yung day na nainjured ako, yung day na yun nagre-rehab na ako, nagre-recover talaga ako. Yun nga with the help of our coaches, talagang inaalagan kami physically and mentally talaga," she added.

Molina scored 16 points on 13 attacks, two blocks, and a service ace in the 26-24, 26-28, 25-18, 18-25, 16-14 thriller against the Lady Troopers at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.

The reigning Open Conference Best Outside Hitter also lauded her teammates for the fight that they showed against the Lady Troopers.

"It's good to be back. Sobrang happy lang ng team kasi nag-start yung game namin sa PLDT talagang nakumpleto na kami although binabalik pa lang nila yung resistensya namin, pati nung mga nawala, happy kami," said Molina as Cignal moved to 1-1 in the semis.

"Sabi nga ni coach [Shaq delos Santos], yung second six namin walang ginagawa na hindi rin namin ginagawang first six kaya kahit anong mangyari, lalaban yung first six namin o yung second six 'man namin talagang palaban lahat sa team."
