Jov Fernandez turns pro with F2

UAAP Season 85 Best Opposite Spiker Jovelyn Fernandez has forgone her remaining years at Far Eastern University to join F2 Logistics in the Premier Volleyball League.

The Cargo Movers announced this through their social media accounts on Sunday night.

Fernandez began her collegiate career in the cancelled Season 82. She then became one of the few bright spots for the Lady Tamaraws team in Season 84, where they only won a single game out of 14 outings.

In Season 85, Fernandez flourished under the guidance of head coach Tina Salak and emerged as one of FEU’s top scorers. She played a pivotal role in the Lady Tamaraws' impressive leap from last place in the previous season to fifth place this year.

Hailing from Rosales, Pangasinan, Fernandez averaged 12 points per game in her final year at the Morayta-based school.

Fernandez will now join the F2 Logistics squad, which secured the bronze medal in the All-Filipino Conference earlier this year.

In the previous conference, Kianna Dy led the Cargo Movers' opposite spiker rotation, accompanied by Elaine Kasilag and Chinnie Arroyo.
